Insulin Sensitivity

How efficiently your cells respond to insulin to absorb glucose from the bloodstream.

Insulin sensitivity describes how little insulin your body needs to move glucose into cells. High sensitivity is healthy; low sensitivity (insulin resistance) is a precursor to type 2 diabetes and is associated with central obesity, PCOS, and metabolic syndrome. Evidence-backed boosters: weight loss (even 5%), resistance training, zone-2 cardio, adequate sleep, high-fiber diets, and avoiding frequent sugar bombs.
