Net Carbs
Total carbohydrates minus fiber (and in some formulations, sugar alcohols) — the carbs that raise blood glucose.
Net carbs = total carbohydrates − fiber − some sugar alcohols. The concept exists because fiber and certain sugar alcohols are not digested into glucose and therefore do not contribute meaningfully to blood-sugar rises. It is most relevant on ketogenic diets where the carb limit targets glucose-raising carbs specifically. The FDA does not require "net carbs" labeling — it's a consumer convention.
